JUMBO UPDATE 21 DECEMBER

 

Good morning from a very wet Malawi. We are now fully into the rainy season and everything is turning green and lush again.  I have a serious leak in the roof of the house that the thatchers have been trying to fix for weeks now and am rather relieved that I am no longer sleeping on a mattress on the floor as the leak is in the dining room where Moses and I used to sleep – you tend to be rather more aware of leaks when you are on the floor and the first time I n...

Having completed the digging of the foundations for our barn the Jumbo construction team is steaming ahead with brick making – well actually as it is a very small team of people who also have other jobs to do crawling is probably a better word.

We at Jumbo are all very excited to hear from Dan and Rachael that the shoes for Suni are a great success and she is walking with her foot flat on the ground in the correct position.

Jumbo update 7 December 2012

 

Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child my parents always had vast quantities of animals in the home from the domestic animals such as dogs and cats to the farm animals such as sheep, goats, cattle ,horses, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs to the orphan wild animals such as monkeys, genet cats, duikers, bush babies etc that shared our lives for a short time until they went back into the wild.
